So I spent half the day editing and the other half shooting, I'm finally getting round to posting the photographs from Monday nights The Wildhearts gig, held at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth. What an amazing night it was..
Holey Crapola on a stick Batman!! what a night! Thanks to a until recently local musician I got to know while he was still playing gigs in this area (Olly). I was able to attend The Wildhearts gig I thought I was just going to watch, and take photographs of my favourite British Rock Band!
I'm currently backing up shots from this evening, so just the one to keep you going..
Thank you Ginger and the guys for putting on an awesome show tonight!
Its been well over a year since I last saw Green Bay performing at Mr Kyps, and seeing them again was just as good as when I first saw them. With one difference, they've changed their guitarist.. what a difference its made to their act!
The energy coming off of this bad was crazy, I couldn't stop myself from shooting! Their interaction with the crowed was brilliant as always.
A new addition to last year was the pink bunny, last year it was a chicken, but the pink bunny went down a storm, he even made is way onto the floor during the matinee.
The Skinny Skulls and then Green Bay in one day, what a treat!
Saturday saw me again at Mr Kyps. Green Day tribute band 'Green Bay' were headlining, and my best friend Stu and his band The Skinny Skulls were supporting. What a great day was had! Green Bay do a matinee performance for the younger generation, so I tagged along for the afternoon and evening.
I'm still going through all the shots of Green Bay, so I'm just going to post a couple of the Skinny Skulls.
A review of their performance is also over on Dorset Rock Online. So make sure you check that out as well.
I was passing the Local Jessops on the way to help a friend out with their computer and wondered if they had got round to putting any picture up in their window yet. (see my previous post) Hey presto! 3 shots! I can see I'm going to have to keep a close eye out on the windows now to see if they select any of the other 27 left. I am a little disapointed that they're not the 30x20in prints that were originally discussed, but they still look good as 12x8!
Ok, summer (well what we had of summer) is over, we're into September, so here it is, the Autumn Deal! Instead of the usual £150.00 with 1 hour and 2, 9x6 inch prints, you will receive 2 hours, 2, 12x8 and 2, 9x6 inch prints for just £105.00. I'm sure you'll agree a cracking deal! The colours of Autumn make for some amazing location shooting, these photographs could be ideal as presents to members of your family. So what are you waiting for?! head over and book your time now!
