Chrimbo - Christmas - Xmas Card
So every year I sit and wrack my brain about what family card we will send out, where to shoot etc. This year was a very wet December, we generally don't see any snow until Jan/Feb now. I can't remember the last time we had a white Christmas in Dorset..
With the ever increasing popularity of photo booths at Weddings and other events I figured why not do that style of picture for the front of the card?! yes I am a Genius!.. *cough*
Instead of getting the backdrop out, I decided that we'd shoot against the white door with a gelled flash and use the 70-200. I selected the day to merge with the kids ballroom dance school party so they'd be nicely dressed and wouldn't make a fuss about having to change their clothes.. Kids, who'd have 'em hey..
So first up was Maisy.
You can't tell she's the daughter of a photographer can you!..
Max wasn't happy doing this at first, don't think he understood the idea, but after a couple of shots he soon relaxed and it all clicked for him.
Those who are in the UK and watch Eastenders, some of those shots of Max remind Rachel of Ian Beale!!
Rachel had enough time to put some face paint on while the kids were having their shots taken.
Last but not least, me!
Some may have seen some of these shots of me as I changed my Avatar daily on the photo forums or my Facebook leading up to Christmas.
I designed 2 cards, but the plain green background came out most liked so we went with that.
