Passing of Amelia

Back in March I posted photographs of Amelia's Holy Communion because it was feared that she wouldn't make it to when the rest of the year at Corpus Christie School had theirs.

The evening of Thursday June 24th 2010, Amelia lost her battle with Neuroblastoma. She went peacefully in her sleep after over a year of battling. Amelia's family asked me to photograph the funeral, her Rainbow Celebration. A difficult thing for me to attempt, never been asked to cover one before I wasn't sure of what to capture, but I did my best.

It was an emotional roller coaster of a day. I think switching into pro mode saved my emotions on the day, but hit me after when I had time to reflect.
